Finding Your Village

The idea of a village is often desired when postpartum can feel overwhelmingly isolating and hard. What would it take to create that village? Not just an online or social media community, but real people to help in all the ways a new parent needs?

A village for when a parent is feeling overwhelmed that someone is there to support them. A village for when a parent needs to use their hands that someone is there to hold the baby. A village where a parent’s needs are recognized before even expressed. A village that doesn’t give them any guilt when asking for help. That eliminates any feeling of being expected to do something in return for receiving someone’s help. Where a parent isn’t seen as “unable to do things on their own” when getting support.

At Post Pamper, we want to create another way for people to find this support and community. To be surrounded by trustworthy care professionals and other new parents in the same postpartum stage as you. A village of people to stay connected with not only during your stay at Post Pamper, but beyond. To find community while finding new flow. So much of postpartum can be an inward journey and lonely at times. Having the ability to connect with and find others on the path can make everything feel happier. It’s nice to not have to go through everything alone.

We envision the day where support and the concept of a village is viewed as essential. Where American society returns to the deep knowing that we go further together than alone.

At Post Pamper, it would be our greatest honor to be included as part of your village. We hope you find community in all of the ways you deserve. After all, we’re wired for community.
